No different to any other industry, Dell, PC World, Tesco, targeted emails based on your purchasing habits, disposable income and where you live.

Quite like the idea myself, having a potential customer there, just need to work out how to have them take up the services offered.

        • We tried this system today manually to see what the results would reveal. We sent out 25 emails and got one contract potentially worth £3375.00.

If the system is automated it could send out emails to several thousand leads (say) four times a year???

Do you have capacity in the business to deal with all those potential leads ?

There’s only so many hours in a day for ‘a team’ ?

How do you scale your business to handle ?
            • Just copy the American system.

We all need to learn from ‘tried and tested’ processes used by big business like yours ( I’m never too old to learn ;)

Did the ‘American System’ work for your other ‘businesses’ ?

The scale thing is a problem that can be solved partially with money. But that won’t get you decent staff straight away unless you are very lucky I don’t think

Hi Adiran. Are you able to share the name of the Automated Selling System you're using?

Seems like they've some deep databases to draw data from - and the fact you're getting results so quickly makes it sound like something I should try.

    • Hi Mike.

It only works on your own data, so you have to have your own list of contacts for the system to work on.

I just tried the idea on a set of our own contacts and it worked right away. Out of 25 emails that I sent out, seven asked for a quote and one (so far) has accepted.

It would be great to share on LJN what the system / software is and how it leverages existing data sets ?

Ah okay. I had also misunderstood.....was kind of hoping they had a Nectar style database of people that had purchased gardening products, just moved house, displayed behaviour that they want a gardener etc. or enquired through them about getting garden quotes.

Seems like this has worked for you with extraordinary high conversion rates, although seems very similar to something like MailChimp albeit with more automation.
