What you have there is a gravatar, which is a universal avatar, and info that you can use on many sites without having to upload a photo. Useful to have, but not a website :)

I have used it in the past, but just for a blog. I had the idea to build a site about grow your own a few years ago, but I haven't touched it for 2 years now. I just don't enjoy building websites as much as I used to. I'm currently having to create myself one for this business, but I'm dragging my heels a bit with it.

You should check out youtube there will be loads of tutorials on there, I learnt how to build websites for joomla and wordpress using it :)
I found it very straightforwrd to be honest. The most important thing is to find a template that you like the homepage and from there its all pretty simple.
Once you try to manipulate the layout it can begin to get more complex. I for example used the colorway theme and 90 % of my homepage is just replacing the template text with my own and pics with my own.
I wanted to integrate a slide show in place of the main header image and it was a little more complex but the wordpress model being open source means people are more keen to share ideas and advice on the forum etc.

I echo the thoughts above, the beauty with WordPress is there are tutorials for everything.
Just take your time and research some paid themes (templates) For 40-50 dollars you can get a lot more for your time and effort.
Thanks for all your reply's. Are all these sites the free to use sites and how do you find they rank on Google?
I only ask because i have always used vistaprint (£25 a month) my Exeter site has gone wrong big time, on natural search it can not be found, i am on Google local thank god, but natural search i have dropped out.
I have another website for Tiverton and it is first page, same as my Exeter one used to be and when i had one in Totnes first page all day. All vistaprint.
The Exeter site went down and since then Google does not like it so i need to change it.
