The Ultra-crete adhesive works well, as does the Larsen one, we mainly make up our own adhesive with SBR and cement, we slip the back of the stone/paving, paint some onto the walling and lace the paving on, works every time. If the unit being used is on the heavy side, we may support it until it sets.
SBR and cement is good. The problems start when either the pavers or the wall are not a flush fit together.
